SAULT STE. MARIE -- The city of Sault Ste. Marie is taking its seniors programming online.
Seniors will be able to exercise, participate in art classes, and even access virtual bingo with the city through phone or video conferences.
"We've been working on doing this for a while, in order to keep up what we were doing during the pandemic," said Jen Amadio, Seniors Services Supervisor with the city.
"They're some of our most vulnerable and can often be alone, so anything we can do to help them connect is a must."
Amadio says anyone that is 55 and up can participate as online programs continue throughout the month of May.
"It also gives us an opportunity to see how it works out and to potentially continue offering this service into the future," she added.
