Ontario Provincial Police say they closed Highway 11 north of Englehart, between Chamberlain Road 4 and Chamberlain Road 5 Monday morning after two transports collided.

One of those tractor trailers began leaking fuel after the collision and crews were dispatched to clean up the spill.

The Ministry of the Environment attended the scene as well.

Police say that the road is closed, but detours are available in the area:

  • If you are heading northbound on Highway 11, take Highway 65 west and head west from Temiskaming Shores towards Elk Lake. Then head east on Highway 66 towards Highway 11.
  • If you are southbound on Highway 11 to New Liskeard, take Highway 66 westbound, then take 65 West and head eastbound towards Elk Lake, and continue east to Highway 11, in Temiskaming Shores.
