North Bay Police Chief Shawn Devine is officially retiring for the service.
At the beginning of the year he announced that he was leaving become to the executive director of OPTIC, which is the Ontario Police Technology Information Co-operative.
Now, Deputy Chief Scott Tod has been named as his replacement.
Devine will retire in June, when a swearing in ceremony will take place for Tod.
A posting will be made to fill the deputy chief position and made available to both external and internal applicants.
