"A short time later, it was reported the accused attempted to steal a victim’s purse on Elgin Street while riding by on a bicycle and yelling at them."

At 10:45 a.m., the same suspect was seen fighting with another person in the 700 block of Wellington Street East. At 11:05 a.m., the same person tried to steal a duffle bag from a victim in the 100 block of East Street.

"Shortly thereafter, it was reported the accused attempted to steal another victim’s purse while riding by on a bicycle," police said.

"Around 11:15 a.m., it was reported the accused attempted to steal items from multiple businesses in the 200 block of Bay Street."

A short time later, the suspect was taken into custody on Hughes Street.
