One hurt after driver runs red light in Sudbury

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries late Tuesday morning following a collision on Highway 144 in Chelmsford in Greater Sudbury.

Ontario Provincial Police were called at 11:55 a.m. to respond to the two-vehicle crash.

"One person received minor injuries and was treated by EMS at the scene," OPP spokesperson Rob Lewis said in an email.

"As a result of the investigation, a 54-year-old person from Chelmsford was charged for failing to stop at a red light."
