Sault Ste. Marie's Dr. Roberta Bondar is now a Companion of the Order of Canada.
Governor-General Julie Payette made the presentation Wednesday morning at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. The acknowledgement is considered a promotion for Dr. Bondar who received the Order of Canada in 1992.
Dr. Bondar continues her commitment to environmental sustainability through photography.
