A dump truck’s load caught on fire early Thursday evening at the 90 km marker on Hwy 144, north of Cartier.
After the driver dumped the load, two bystanders, Darren Neely and Rob Guillimette, put out the flames using a fire extinguisher and snow shovel.
Reports say the truck was saved and no one was injured.
The load is in the emergency lane of the southbound lane.
OPP have been dispatched to the scene.
