SUDBURY -- A Timmins man has been identified as the victim in Sunday's fatal crash on Highway 11 as police deal with another crash on the same highway Wednesday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police say 66-year-old Fernand Michel of Timmins died Sunday in a collision south of Ramore, in a news release.
Not many details have been given about the incident other than Michel was the driver of the vehicle and that an investigation is still under way.
Meanwhile Wednesday morning, more than 25 kilometres north on the same road, OPP Const. Michelle Simard said Highway 11 has reopened north of Highway 101 in Matheson following a crash involving a transport.
Police tweeted about the collision at 6:20 a.m. saying the highway was blocked by a jackknifed commercial vehicle.
Simard told CTV News over the phone the driver of the transport lost control and crashed.
No injuries were reported and there are no charges pending.
There are reports of snow in the area Wednesday morning.
