Police in Timmins have now confirmed a grim fact that most of the city has known for weeks.
The bodies found in that burned out car on the edge of town are those of the Gagnon family of Timmins.
Identities of the deceased have been confirmed by the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto to be:
- Tammy Gagnon, 34
- Cole Gagnon, 16
- Brandi Gagnon, 14
- Joey Gagnon, 37
It was just over 3 weeks ago, April 20th, when human remains were located at the scene of a vehicle fire.
Timmins police say they are continuing to work with forensic experts on this case, but right now they have no reason to suspect anyone else was involved.
