A third person in northern Ontario has now been charged with manslaughter in connection to an opioid death.
On Tuesday, Ontario Provincial Police charged a 21-year-old Timmins man with manslaughter and trafficking opioids.
Now, Sudbury police say they have arrested and charged a 39-year-old man in relation to an opioid death on February 1, 2019.
He has also been charged with drug trafficking in the incident.
The 39-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Sudbury court on Thursday, June 6.
Police say that an opioid-related death happens every five days on average.
In partnership with the Community Drug Strategy, Greater Sudbury Police Service will continue to focus its attention on people producing, distributing, and trafficking illicit and deadly opioids.
