Sturgeon Falls suspect charged with uttering threats, cruelty to animals

A 31-year-old has been charged following an intimate partner investigation last weekend in Sturgeon Falls, Ont.

Ontario Provincial Police responded at 11:45 p.m. on Dec. 20 to a complaint about a threat to an animal at a residence on Demers Street.

An investigation led to charges of breach of recognizance, uttering threats to injure an animal and cruelty to animals.

The accused was held for bail court and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in January in North Bay.
