The First Nation communities of Kashechewan and Fort Albany have a complete evacuation under way.  Once again, it's due to potential flooding of the Albany River.

A State of Emergency has been declared due to ice break-ups along the James Bay Coast.

While no flooding has occurred yet, a high risk warning from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry prompted officials to get everyone out.

Over 1,500 people have been flown to Timmins and Kapuskasing.

The remaining 300 people are being transported to Wawa and Hearst.
