SUDBURY -- Sudbury public health officials confirmed another new case of COVID-19 Thursday morning, the seventh since Saturday.
In the last five days, a wave of new novel coronavirus infections has been confirmed in the Sudbury and Manitoulin Districts. All but one are located within the Sudbury area.
This newest case marks the health unit's 101st case and officials say the person was a contact of a travel-related case.
The person was tested Wednesday and is in self-isolation.
Anyone considered a close contact will be notified by public health.
Health officials say all non-essential in-person gatherings should be limited despite the province allowing up to 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors.
Everyone should continue to keep two metres apart and wear a facemask when distancing is not possible. Masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces.
