The Canadian Mental Health Association confirms it’s once again looking for a location for its temporary low-barrier shelter.
Last month, it announced that it had secured a location at the former International Hotel in Sudbury’s Donovan neighbourhood, but it was found to not be suitable.
The former Grace Family Church, in the same neighbourhood, was also being considered, but the community raised concerns.
CMHA has been working diligently to find a location since the Salvation Army closed its shelter mid-May.
Once a location has been confirmed, the temporary shelter will run from 10 pm until 8 am, until a permanent location opens on Larch Street in November.
