'Ready for duty': Sudbury police dog returns to work after ingesting drugs during raid
A furry, four-legged Sudbury police officer is back on his feet and has returned to work after accidentally ingesting highly toxic drugs during a drug bust Friday.
"After a couple days of the royal treatment and some much-deserved R&R," K9 Roy is "feeling pawsome and ready to serve and protect our community," Greater Sudbury Police Service said in an update on social media Monday morning.

Roy came in contact with fentanyl while searching a room during a drug bust on Burton Avenue in the Donovan area.
"His handler immediately administered Narcan and rushed him to the veterinarian where he underwent precautionary tests," police said.
Adding, thanks to the quick action to save his life, Roy is "expected to make a full recovery."
"This is a stark reminder of the dangers our officers and canines face while protecting our community," police said.
"Criminals beware, our favourite fur missile is locked and loaded and ready for duty."
Four people ranging in age from 18 to 38 were arrested in the drug raid and police seized 68 grams of fentanyl, 4.5 grams of cocaine, around $8,000 in cash and a large amount of fake American money.
