North Bay area police investigating bag of dead puppies

Share

Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public for help identifying a suspect after a bag of dead puppies washed ashore in a creek in the North Bay area earlier this month.

Officers were called to Chisholm Creek, about 40 kilometres south of North Bay, around 4 p.m. June 14 after the gruesome discovery.

Police received a complaint that a "smaller white vehicle on Memorial Park Drive" discarded a "suspicious bag" into the creek.

The bag later floated to shore containing five deceased puppies.

Now police are asking for help in identifying the person(s) involved.

"If anyone has any information regarding this investigation, please contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122," OPP said.

"Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at www.ontariocrimestoppers.ca where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000."
