SUDBURY -- Sudbury police are looking for information into a suspected overdose after a man was found in medical distress in the New Sudbury area just before 4 a.m. Thursday.
"We received a call at 3:54 a.m. regarding a man in medical distress on Lasalle Blvd. near Adanac Gardens and Starlight Street," said Sarah Kaelas, multi-media marketing specialist for Greater Sudbury Police Service, in an email to CTV News. "The man was transported to hospital and remains at HSN in critical condition."
The eastbound lane of the busy New Sudbury street was closed until after 8 a.m. while officers investigated.
Officers could be seen canvassing the area after 8 a.m.
"This is an isolated incident and no foul play is suspected," said Kaelas.
She confirmed the incident involves a suspected drug overdose.
"We encourage any witnesses to come forward," said Kaelas.
