Pedestrian in the Sault charged following collision with a vehicle Thursday morning
A pedestrian trying to cross Great Northern Road was hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning in Sault Ste. Marie.
Sault Ste. Marie Police said the collision took place around 5;20 a.m. The pedestrian is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
"The pedestrian was charged with disobeying a 'don’t walk' signal under the Highway Traffic Act," police said in a news release.
"The driver of the vehicle did not sustain physical injuries. Police are not releasing the identities of those involved."
