SUDBURY -- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kirkland Lake executed a search warrant at a Tweedsmuir Road residence on Dec. 4 where they seized a significant quantity of suspected opioids they believe to be Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Methamphetamine.
The detachment’s Crime Unit along with assistance from the South Porcupine OPP Crime Unit and The North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) were all involved in the search and seizure.
The drugs have an estimated street value of $39,750. Police also seized over $8,000 in cash.
As a result, a 35-year-old woman from Kirkland Lake, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, and an 18-year-old woman from Toronto have all been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Opioid
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
Police say the three accused were remanded and are scheduled to appear in court today by video.
