It has been 49 weeks now and still, the popular Sault Ste. Marie fundraiser known as Catch the Ace continues.

Once again, there was no big winner Thursday night but, the evening's guaranteed prize was awarded.

It went to a man known as Fast Eddy, who picked the queen of diamonds.

He didn't walk away with the big jackpot, but for his trouble he is $78,000 richer.

The most incredible part is, it was the second time Eddy's ticket was selected in the Catch the Ace fundraiser.

If the ace is caught next week, the grand-prize winner will walk away with an expected $750,000.

And the total generated by the fundraiser for the two recipient charities, Sault Ste. Marie’s Group Health Centre Trust Fund and Big Brothers, Big Sisters, will be over $1-million.

The next draw will be Thursday, September 20th at the Esquire Club.
