A popular fundraiser, Catch the Ace, is still going strong in Sault Ste. Marie.
Once again, there was no big winner on Thursday night’s draw at the city’s Esquire Club.
And with only five cards left in the lottery style draw, the odds are getting better that someone will walk away with a jackpot that's up to close to half a million dollars next week.
A Sault Ste. Marie man won the nightly draw of over $54,000 saying its good timing, as he'll soon be retiring from the steel plant.
All the proceeds from the fundraiser go to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sault Ste. Marie and Group Health Centre Trust Fund.
