SUDBURY -- There are new developments Tuesday in the Renee Sweeney murder case.
The man accused of her murder, Robert Steven Wright, appeared in a Sudbury court room Tuesday morning as representatives from his legal team were setting dates for a change of venue and Rowbotham application.
His Rowbotham application asks the province to assist Wright with his legal costs.
Wright is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with the stabbing death of Renee Sweeney back in 1998.
He has been in police custody since his arrest in December 2018.
None of the charges has been proven in court.
