SUDBURY -- A judge has ruled against the Crown in its application to have Robert Steven Wright's lawyers, Berk Keaney and Michael Venturi, removed from his murder case.
No details have been released as to why the application was submitted.
Wright is accused in the brutal stabbing death of Renee Sweeney in Sudbury in 1998.
He has been in custody since his arrest in December 2018 after a break in the investigation.
Wright is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to the murder, but a trial date has yet to be set.
