Highway 17 north of Sault Ste. Marie is fully reopened following a single commercial vehicle rollover, police say.

A transport carrying groceries was headed east when it crashed in the Frater Road area near Agawa Bay shortly before noon Sunday, Ontario Provincial Police spokesperson Ashley Nickle told CTV News in an email.

As a result, the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and there are no charges pending at this time, Nickle said.

A photo obtained by CTV News shows a commercial vehicle flipped upside down across the highway.

The eastbound lane was cleared at 7 p.m. while the westbound lane and shoulder remained closed until after 1 a.m.
