An 83-year-old man has died of his injuries in Sault Ste. Marie after being hit by a vehicle in a hit and run incident Tuesday.

Police in Sault Ste. Marie are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian.
It happened about 12:45 pm near the intersection of Second Line West and Turner Avenue.
Police say a black SUV with tinted windows, travelling Eastbound, struck a man walking on the road and then fled the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police or Crime Stoppers, which offers a cash reward of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to an arrest.
