Residents in North Bay now have a chance to display their hometown pride by flying their own municipal flag.

City of North Bay flags are being made available for purchase.

“It’s all about civic pride. We’ve got a couple of requests,” says City of North Bay spokesperson Gord Young.  The city also loans out flags to people who are travelling around the world who wish to display the flag in photographs they take during their trip.     Young says  North Bay’s flag has been featured in photos that include mountains monuments around the world.   “People who have a flagpole have been asking for a flag from the city to fly, so we wanted to extend the offer,” says Young.

They are not novelty items and are meant to be displayed on a tall flag pole. The flags are 36” x 72”in size and cost about $87.00 each.  Those interested are asked to contact the Mayor's Office to place and order.

Lee Park and City Hall in North Bay are two popular locations where the flag can be spotted flying in the wind.
