The North Bay Battalion junior hockey team jazzed up the look of its team bus for the first re-design in six years.
The new design features the faces of the team's past stars.
"To see some of the faces on that bus, it's pretty special in North Bay Battalion history. It's cool to have that and I think it looks really sharp," said Matthew Struthers, North Bay Battalion.
The bus features form captain Justin Brazeau who is now playing with the Toronto Marlies.
Former Battalion stars like Nick Paul and Mike Amadio are also featured, as well as Barclay Goodrow who plays with the San Jose Sharks and among the favourites.
"I always remember hearing about him and him being undrafted, so that's pretty cool for someone like myself who also went undrafted. Obviously you know I am going to try and follow in his footsteps," said Struthers.
Battalion officials say these players featured on the bus are ones who made an impact on and off the ice.
"Those are the players that you know really like I said, really made an impact in the community, and the players that should be showcased right now. I think it was a really good choice," expressed John McLellan, North Bay Battalion.
For the last six years, Ontario Northland has been the official sponsor of the Battalion's bus, and with North Bay being home to the transportation giant, this partnership is a little more special.
"Ontario Northland is Northern Ontario. The Battalion are all about Northern Ontario. It's just, the combination is great," said George Hughes, Ontario Northland.
This is the first time the Battalion officials have re-designed the team bus since the franchise was relocated to the city in 2013.
