Greater Sudbury Police were dealing with a collision on Garson Coniston Road, where the driver failed to remain at the scene of the crash.
The Nipissing West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police were told the driver was last seen heading east on Highway 17.
"Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was located and stopped on Highway 17 in Hagar, Municipality of Markstay-Warren," the OPP said in a news release Tuesday.
