Two men from Quebec face a slew of fraud charges after an employee at a North Bay business suspected a fraudulent credit application.
Police were called to an Algonquin Avenue store on May 10 and say the two men were trying to obtain credit to purchase electronics from the store.
An employee was concerned with some of the details of the process and contacted police, who determined that the identity information that was being used did not belong to the two individuals, resulting in the arrests.
Police seized personal identification cards and a credit card.
Through an investigation police discovered additional cases occurred in the Sudbury and Midland areas, which led to additional charges against both accused.
A 22-year-old man and a male youth face numerous fraud charges. They are being held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay courthouse.
