Two crashes on Highway 17 bypass in Lively
One person was taken to the Sudbury hospital with minor injuries following a crash between a tractor-trailer and passenger vehicle Monday morning, OPP says.
It happened just after 7:30 a.m. on the Highway 17 bypass in the Greater Sudbury community of Lively between Southview Drive and Fielding Road, OPP Const. Rob Lewis told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca.
Lewis said possible charges are pending.
A second crash involving a single vehicle occurred at the scene due to debris left on the highway from the first crash.
No one was injured in the second collision.
The east lane and shoulder were closed for about an hour and a half, reopening shortly after 9 a.m.
No word on what caused the first crash.
