The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has sent two investigators to the northwestern Ontario community of Wawa to investigate an accident involving a helicopter.

The Eurocopter AS350 B2 helicopter crashed June 20, the TSB said in a news release. In an email Monday, the TSB the helicopter was conducting long-lining operations at the time.

“The aircraft was operated by Heli Explore Inc. with only the pilot on board who sustained non-life-threatening injuries,” the email said.

“TSB investigators attended the site to collect information and document it. The investigation is ongoing. It is too soon in the investigation for any conclusions to be drawn.”
