Traffic stop on a pickup results in charges for suspended driver, company
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a pickup truck on Dallyn Avenue in Kapuskasing on Friday morning resulting in multiple charges for the driver as well as the company that owned the vehicle.

"The driver was found to have an administrative driver’s licence suspension (a 90-day automatic suspension issued after an impaired driving charge) and the vehicle was uninsured," said police in a social media post.
As a result of the police investigation, the 31-year-old driver from the Sault has been charged with driving while under suspension, operating a vehicle without insurance and driving without a validated permit. The company was charged with improper use of a validation permit and allowing a vehicle to operate without insurance.
In addition to the charges the company vehicle was impounded for seven days by police.

Both the company and the driver are scheduled to appear in traffic court at a later date.
