Timmins police look to identify attempted robbery suspects
Timmins police are looking to find two teenagers who tried to rob people downtown using a knife Thursday evening.
The incidents took place between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m., police said in a news release Friday.
“Two unidentified males approached several individuals, demanding their money and cellphones,” police said.
“One of the suspects brandished a large knife, the victims were able to escape unharmed. The two suspects fled the scene, heading north toward the area of 6th Avenue.”
The pair are believed to be 16 or 17 years old. The first suspect was about six feet tall, had black curly hair and was dressed all in black with sandals and socks.
The second was slightly shorter, also had black curly hair and had light facial hair. He was wearing a white top, black pants, and white shoes.

“Although the surveillance footage is grainy, the attached photos represent the best images available at this time,” police said.
“Police are urging anyone who recognizes these individuals or who may have additional surveillance video of the suspects to come forward.”
