(TIMMINS) The Timmins Police Service was called to the Porcupine Mall during the early morning of Monday, November 12th in regards to the discovery of a deceased person.
The scene remained under the control of the Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division and access to certain areas was denied to the public for investigative purposes.
The Timmins Police Service positively determined the identity of the deceased person to be Chelsea NAKOGEE, 28, of Porcupine, Ontario.
This matter remains under investigation by the Timmins Police Service – Criminal Investigations Division who are grateful for the assistance of individuals and local businesses who, upon police request, have provided video materials to assist with their investigation. Investigators are continuing to review video surveillance from various areas of the city.
These video elements have assisted with a number of facets of the investigation including determining a timeline as to when the deceased was last observed, and who she may have interacted with prior to her death.
