A 30-year-old man has been charged after someone entered the police station in Timmins this week and created havoc.

The suspect, who wasn’t in custody or under arrest, entered the station and shattered a glass door.

“Based on investigation, it was determined that the suspect entered the police station and, without provocation, kicked a glass door until the glass shattered,” police said in a news release.

“The suspect then uttered a threat as he was being arrested by the Timmins police officer.”

Charges include mischief, uttering threats and failing to comply with probation orders.

The accused remained in police custody ahead of a bail hearing this week at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins.
