Suspect in triple stabbing in Sudbury charged with attempted murder
A 34-year-old suspect is in custody after three people received serious but not life-threatening injuries in a stabbing attack late Thursday morning in Sudbury.
Charges include three counts each of attempted murder, aggravated assault and assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The incident took place at Canadian Mental Health Association Sudbury/Manitoulin on Larch Street around 11 a.m.

“Upon searching the individual, officers located what is believed to be the knife used during the attack.”

“We are aware of a situation involving our Healing with Hope Home … Respecting the privacy of all parties involved, we are taking immediate steps to address the situation and ensure staff and residents are safe and well supported.
