Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) is looking for two motorcyclists – one of whom may be “seriously injured.” The pair were involved in a crash Friday evening.
Officers received a call about a single-vehicle crash on Lasalle Boulevard at the underpass to the Maley Driver extension at 9:11 p.m., police said in a news release.
“A witness observed two motorcycles travelling at a high rate of speed westbound on Lasalle Boulevard at Notre Dame Avenue,” police said.
“Shortly thereafter, one of the motorcycles was located near the underpass with extensive damage.”
According to police, a witness observed both riders leaving the scene on the other motorcycle.
“Based on witness information, it appears as though the driver of the motorcycle involved in the collision may have suffered serious injuries,” reads the release.
The investigation is ongoing under the direction of GSPS’ traffic management unit.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance in locating and identifying the driver of the motorcycle involved in the collision, as well as the driver of the motorcycle used to flee the collision site.”
Police ask anyone with information about the incident including the crash or the motorcycles or the drivers involved to contact GSPS at 705-675-9171.
