Sudbury police charge man with attempted murder after serious assault

SUDBURY -- One man is facing an attempted murder charge after a serious incident in Sudbury Wednesday morning.

Police first responded to calls of a disturbance at a home on Ferndale Avenue in Minnow Lake involving two individuals.

After arriving on scene, officers determined a 44-year-old male suffered serious injuries in what police refer to as a serious assault.

A 25-year-old-man was charged and taken into custody just after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.   

The victim was transferred to Health Sciences North and remains in hospital.

A bail hearing is scheduled for July 2^nd.
