A Sudbury man, 33, is facing online child sexual abuse material charges after the internet child exploitation unit raided a local home, police say.

The search happened Wednesday with the help of the break, enter and robbery unit, Greater Sudbury Police Service said in a news release.

The suspect is charged with possession, access and making available child pornography.

He was in bail court Wednesday.

"Cybertip.ca is Canada’s national tip line for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children," police said.

"Tips from the public can help protect children from sexual abuse. Canadians are encouraged to report concerns to Cybertip.ca if someone they know may be victimizing children online."
