A house on Clement Street in Capreol has been destroyed following a fire Thursday afternoon.

That  from the Greater Sudbury Fire Services which says it was called out to the home during the 3 o’clock hour to find heavy smoke and flames coming from the property.

Crews are likely going to be on scene all night. Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell tells CTVNews an excavator was called to reach certain areas of the property. He adds a few of the homes are close together so there were some neighbouring properties that likely incurred heat damage.

No one was believed to be home at the time and the cause of the fire isn’t being considered suspicious.
