Sudbury couple wins lottery's second prize with 'special' numbers
A Sudbury couple who has been playing the lottery together since Lotto 6/49 began received their first big win.
Paul and Lynn Jackson won $108,213.50 in the July 17 draw, Ontario Lottery and Gaming said in a news release Friday morning.

Playing a mix of random "quick picks" and their own chosen numbers, it was Paul's selection that led to their windfall, OLG said.
"We were sitting in our living room when I asked Lynn if she wanted to check our tickets on the OLG app," he is quoted as saying in the news release.
When Lynn saw the "big winner" message on her phone after scanning the ticket, she said it was an unbelievably special moment to find out it was their numbers that won.
"I was immediately happy, but it still hasn’t sunk in for Lynn," Paul said while picking up their money at the OLG prize centre in Toronto.
Lottery officials said Lynn's eyes were flooded with tears upon seeing the cheque.
"This win is such a bright spot for us," she said.
"I couldn’t have asked for a better lottery and life partner," Paul added.

The couple said they plan to use the money to pay some bills and to take a vacation together.
They bought their winning ticket at Rexall on Barrydowne Road in New Sudbury.
Earlier this week, OLG announced the winner of the $70 million Lotto Max jackpot bought their ticket in the Timiskaming-Cochrane area of northeastern Ontario.
The name of the winner in that draw has not yet been announced.
