A follow up now to a story we reported on Monday, Sudbury's business improvement association will be able to spend money from its budget to appeal the location of the events centre on the Kingsway.
The city's finance committee approved the BIA's annual budget of $530,000 Tuesday night.
It includes $20,000 for the appeal of the decision on the new arena and casino to be built on the Kingsway.
Councillor Robert Kirwan felt council should not approve the money to fund the appeal, saying the proposed event centre is not located downtown.
