Sudbury city council has established the criteria that will be used by a five member committee to decide on a location for a new arena.
Council voted to make cost, economic impact and parking the big factors that will determine the location of the site.
Driver and transit environmental issues, and local reaction and neighbourhood controversy were also weighted as extremely important.
Four senior city staffers and an outside consultant will make up the site selection committee and will make a location choice by June.
