Southern Ont. trio charged with attempted robbery in West Nipissing
Three suspects from southern Ontario have been charged after an attempted robbery in the community of Field in West Nipissing.
The suspects – a 32-year-old from Oshawa, a 27-year-old from Caledon and a 32-year-old from Coburg – were arrested just before noon June 21 on Des Cedres Street.
Police deployed the Nipissing West OPP crime unit and the OPP tactics and rescue unit to make the arrests.
The three suspects are charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, attempted robbery with violence and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They were scheduled to appear at a bail hearing in North Bay on June 25.
“The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Nipissing West OPP crime unit, under the direction of the OPP criminal investigation branch,” the OPP said in a news release June 25.
