OPP seek public assistance in Canada Post office break and enter, theft investigation

Officers with the Ontario Provincial Police’s James Bay detachment are investigating a break-and-enter and theft at Canada Post office in Moosonee, Ont., last month.

On Nov. 27 at about 12:45 a.m., OPP responded to an alarm call at the building on First Street.

“Multiple windows were broken and more than twenty packages damaged or stolen,” said police in a news release.

Police said they believe three individuals were involved in the incident.

“(The individuals) were observed walking northbound on Bay Road immediately following the break and enter,” said police.

Anyone with information related to the investigation or the location of any of the stolen property is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.

The reference number of the case is E241101572.
