NORTH BAY -- It’s time to bring out the winter hats and gloves again Northern Ontario. Snow has made an appearance in the Timmins area overnight and is in the forecast for many parts of the region this week.

Environment Canada says snow mixed with rain is on its way to Sudbury, North Bay, and Sault Ste. Marie starting Thursday morning and will carry on into next week.

Temperatures across the region are expected to dip below freezing for the next few days.

Drivers are reminded to slow down when there’s snow on the road, increase following distance, and check the weather before heading out.
