CTV News has learned the Grace United Church, that burned down in Sudbury earlier this summer, is to be rebuilt on its existing site.
It’s been more than two months since the historic building was struck by lightning and burned to the ground.
Prior to the fire, it had stood in the community for almost 80 years.
Church officials say they are hoping to get shovels in the ground on the new build as soon as possible.
The parish is operating out of a temporary home near the old site in the city's Minnow Lake area.
