Ontario Provincial Police have released the name of a drowning victim following an incident July22 at Meldrum Bay.
They say 18-year-old Kyle Benedict of Chatham was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police, with the assistance of the Sudbury-Manitoulin Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a possible drowning in Meldrum Bay Monday afternoon at around 1:30.
The investigation is ongoing under the direction of the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service.
