The Ontario New Democratic Party in Sault Ste. Marie has named its candidate in the upcoming provincial election.
Michele McCleave-Kennedy was nominated Thursday night to carry the NDP banner.
McCleave-Kennedy is a longtime labour champion and workers’ rights activist.
The seat in Sault Ste. Marie is currently held by Progressive Conservative candidate, Ross Romano.
