One dead, one in custody after River Valley shooting, OPP says

"A 53-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene," OPP said.
"Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no immediate threat to public safety."
CTV News observed two OPP cruisers parked on Bradley with the road cordoned off with yellow police tape.
A neighbour, Bruce Pigeon, who spoke to CTV News said he was outside raking when he saw a vehicle speeding down the road and almost wipe out.
He said he then heard a scuffle next door and what sounded to him like a gunshot.
Pigeon said he has lived there for 23 years and nothing like that has ever happened before.
"The investigation is in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time," OPP said.
"The public can expect a large police presence in the area."
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 and anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Information on the suspect will be released at a later time along with the charges once they have all been confirmed and laid, OPP Const. Rob Lewis told CTVNewsNorthernOntario.ca in a text.
The investigation is being conducted by the Nipissing West crime unit, OPP criminal investigation branch, forensic identification services, Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
